Police nabbed two of three men who on Wednesday night allegedly robbed a Lansford man who was recently arrested on drug charges.
Lansford Police Chief John Turcmanovich said this morning that his officers, along with police from neighboring Coaldale, caught two of the three men after they fled in a Ford Escape.
The men allegedly robbed Bodean Boggs, 21, of 616 E. Patterson St., at 9:04 p.m. at the Turkey Hill Minit Mart on Patterson Street. They then fled toward Coaldale, Turcmanovich said.
The men gave statements, and Assistant Carbon County District Attorney James Lavelle approved charges. The men were arraigned and jailed.
Turcmanovich said he would release their names and details of the charges later.
The robbery, Turcmanovich said, "is believed to be drug-related."
Boggs was recently arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, stemming from an incident which took place at 9:50 p.m. July 29 on E. Kline Ave.
Officer Joshua Tom had seen Boggs and Hope Baily-Skaggs enter and then leave a known drug house. He stopped them and found in Boggs's possession a marijuana bowl and marijuana, a large amount of cash, plastic bags and a scale.
