State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a two vehicle crash that occurred about 9:55 p.m. along SR61 at the intersection of SR443 "jughandle" in North Manheim Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said Bryce N. Seip, 48, of New Ringgold, was traveling through the jughandle from 61 to go east on 443 while Ned F. Drey, 52, of Cressona, was southbound on 61.

Troopers said Seip proceeded through a red traffic light signal and into the path of Drey. The front of Drey's 2008 Chevrolet Aveo struck the driver's side of Seip's 1968 Ford Mustang. After impact the Mustang came to rest on top of the concrete median separating 61's northbound and southbound lanes. The Aveo turned 90 degrees counter-clockwise after impact and came to rest in the right lane facing east.

Both drivers sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene by Orwigsburg ambulance personnel. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

Troopers cited Seip for traffic control signals violation.
