Slaughter, Loretta Lynn at the Peak

Christmas is only about six weeks away and one gift suggestion would be tickets to a music concert.

Penn's Peak has announced some shows for early 2011 including the "First Lady of Country Music" Loretta Lynn, tribute bands like Bruce in the USA and Arrival, and 80s rockers Slaughter and Jani Lane performing on the same evening.Tickets for most of the concert events are already on sale.Three shows go on sale Saturday. They are Dave Mason on April 14, country singer Travis Tritt on April 29, and English rockers Uriah Heep on June 24.For rock fans of the early 90s, the concert by Slaughter and Jani Lane, formerly of Warrant, will be a treat considering Slaughter has done limited touring and Warrant has broken up.Slaughter is a band formed in Las Vegas and reached stardom with their "Stick It To Ya" album in 1990. Hits include "Fly To The Angels" and "Up All Night."Grateful Dead enthusiasts take note: Dark Star Orchestra is back at Penn's Peak on Wednesday, Dec. 29. The Dark Star Orchestra gets a packed house every time it comes to the Peak.Another band sure to pack the place is Arrival, which does the Music of Abba.
