Boy Scout troopBoy Scout Troop 743, Summit Hill, is seeking new members. It is as follows:On Thursday, Oct. 7, refuse will be picked up on the east side of town, along with Knepper's Trailer Court and East and West White Bear drives.On Tuesday, Oct. 12, refuse will be picked up on the west side of town, along with Laurel Drive and East and West Mountaintop roads.Items to be picked up include tires (no more than five), tire rims, auto body parts, refrigerators, freezers, vending machines, dehumidifiers, water coolers, heat pumps, washers, dryers and stoves. All items must have all chemicals removed from them and their doors taken off. Members are collecting non-perishable food items that they donate to the town food pantry.Among the suggested items are peanut butter, jelly, crackers, canned fruit, cereal, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, tuna, beef stew, soups, instant potatoes, macaroni and cheese and other canned items. They can be dropped off at the church.
