Pearce gave himself away when he called New York police by cell phone to find out if charges against him were pending and officials were able to trace the call to Shenandoah.Other hearingsTwo others being held in the county prison received hearings before Stine on extradition requests. The governor of New Jersey asked for Wild E. Oster, 19, to be brought to that state to face charges against him and the governor of Virginia filed extradition papers to have Golden V.
