State police at Lehighton reported on several arrests made by troopers recently.

A student at Palmerton Area High School, Fireline Rd., in Lower Towamensing Township, was arrested for harassment following an incident that occurred about 7:40 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 10. A 16-year-old from Kunkletown was charged with shoving another 16-year-old from Palmerton, into a wall at the school causing the victim to suffer an abrasion to his left arm. The teen issued a citation and released.Two arrests of students occurred at the Pleasant Valley Intermediate School in Polk Township, Monroe County.On Monday, Sept. 13, about 8:30 a.m. a 12-year-old male from Effort was charged with burning a 10-year-old male, also from Effort, with a lighter at the school. The suspect was found to have a pocket knife on him. He was charged with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and possession of a weapon on school property.A juvenile from Effort, no age given, was cited for forgery after he passed counterfeit money while paying for his lunch at the school The counterfeit notes were forwarded to the U.S. Secret Service, troopers added.Troopers said Raymond Joseph Bender III, 27, of Gilbert, was arrested for simple assault following an incident that occurred on Sept. 7 about 7:05 p.m. at a residence along SR209 in Polk Township. Troopers allege that Bender stabbed a 47-year-old female form Kunkletown, in the leg with a grill cleaning tool after a verbal argument.Troopers said Mandy Lee Jones, 27, of Kunkletown, was charged with harassment following an incident that occurred about 6:33 p.m. on Sept. 7 at Greenbelt Acres, in Polk Township. Troopers allege she slapped a 45-year-old female from Kunkletown after a verbal argument.Troopers said Robert Anthony Heller, 45, of Saylorsburg, arrived at the property at Lot 77, Vista Circle, Saylorsburg, Ross Township, Monroe County, about 9:35 p.m. on Sept. 7, and allegedly threatened a 17-year-old male with physical harm. Troopers also allege that Heller used vulgar and inappropriate language throughout the course of the incident. Heller was charged with disorderly conduct.
