Jessica Amber Schafer graduated with honors from Mansfield University, Mansfield, on May 8, with a bachelor of music in music education.

She is the daughter of Judy Schafer of Lehighton and the late Martin Schafer. She is a 2005 graduate of Lehighton Area High School.While at Mansfield, Schafer was a member of the Olympic Gold winning Mansfield University Choir and The Spirit and the Pride of Pennsylvania Mansfield University Marching Band. Schafer also was a member of Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority.While attending college, Schafer remained an active member of the Zion Opera Workshop, a community theater located at the Zion UCC Church, in Lehighton.Schafer completed her student teaching requirements in the Harrisburg area, in both the Central Dauphin East School District and the Susquehanna Township School District.
