The disposing of over a dozen surety cases occurred in Schuylkill County Court. Judges ordered four defendants to the county rock pile, where they will be enabled to earn 65-cents per day, which will be paid by the county to the wives they refused to support while they had their freedom. The defendants are all chargd with non-support. They will remain in prison until the sentence of the court expires, which can occur only when they promise to work steadily and perform their duty toward their wives and families.
