Vacation Bible SchoolSt. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford, has announced the dates of its upcoming Vacation Bible School. It will take place on the mornings of July 26-28.Registrations will be accepted on June 12-13 and 19-20 after all of the weekend Masses in the parish office.The theme will be "Rain Forest."The school is open to children 4-10 from any of the Catholic parishes of the area.To visit parishThe Frances C. Jakabcin District of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association will visit St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford, for its annual "out of town board meeting." The event will take place on Sunday, June 6, beginning with a Mass at 1 p.m. The Rev. Msgrs. Peter Polando and Thomas Derzack will be the celebrants.After the Mass, members will meet at the Lantern, Nesquehoning, for the dinner-meeting.Members of the St. Ann Society of the host church and branches in local towns are invited to attend and should call Veronica Bazik, president, (570) 645-5253, before May 22.Little AngelsThe Little Angels Pre-School at Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Lansford, is now accepting reservations for the 2010-11 school year. Additional information about the bloodmobile will be announced in this column.Summit HillClass of 1957The Summit Hill High School Class of 1957 will hold a reunion luncheon at noon on Thursday, May 27, at 1 p.m. at Macaluso's at the Lantern, Nesquehoning.Invitations have been sent to all class members.Those who have not responded are asked to contact Ann Marie (Pisklak) Lill, (570) 645-2410.Lee Mantz, president of the Summit Hill Historical Society, will be the featured speaker.
