The Nesquehoning Lions Club has planned its meeting for Monday, May 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the club building. There will be no dinner at this meeting.Fishing derbyChildren of the surrounding area are invited to the Nesquehoning Conservation Club's annual Fishing Derby on May 8. The registration is at 8 a.m. in the parking lot near CVS on Locust Street.Each child will receive a prize and first place will be a $250 gift card to Cabela's.The derby is held in memory of the late Connell McCall and Juvenile Diabetes and is supported by the Friends of Connell McCall.There will be food and drink available.Conservation clubThe May Meeting of the Nesquehoning Conservation Club will be Wednesday, May 5 at 6:30

p.m.at Maple Shade Meadows. This will be the last meeting before the Kids Fishing Derby on May 8 and the last meeting until September. Members who cannot attend but would like to volunteer to help at the derby can contact derby chairman Don McGorry at (570) 669-9163. As always don't forget to bring your Redner's Save-a-Tapes.
