Pleasant Valley Intermediate School and East Stroudsburg University have combined efforts to collect pet food and supplies to support Carbon County Friends of Animals, Waggin' Tails and Meals on Wheels clients who have companion animals.

The drive runs from now through May 6.Items needed include: pet food, wash rags, paper towels, hand soap, latex rubber gloves, cat and dog toys, dish and laundry detergent, heavy black garbage bags, Q-tips, brooms and mops, cleaning products, copy paper, Gerber's chicken baby food (no vegetables added), index cards (blue, pink and yellow) and cotton balls.Pencor will be partnering with the schools and will host several collection sites at the following Blue Ridge Cable offices: Stroudsburg, Gilbert, Pocono Summit, Lehighton, Lansford and Walnutport, as well as the Pencor Superstore in Palmerton.For more information, call Susan at (570) 402-1000, ext. 3332.
