Mikovich, 68 Crescent Drive, Nesquehoning, was granted a divorce from John C. Mikovich, 71 Crescent Drive, Nesquehoning. They were married May 19, 2000.Laurence Hruniuk, 43 W. Pine St., Sheppton, was granted a divorce from Karen D. Hruniuk, 346 Market St., Sheppton. They were married June 2, 2001.Jean E. Zimmerman was granted a divorce from Arthur D. Zimmerman, both of Tamanend Road, Delano. They were married April 4, 1964.Courtney A. Ranck was granted a divorce from Jeremy Schnerring, both of Orwigsburg. They were married Oct. 17, 2009.Denise M. They were married May 27, 2000.Summary appealA Nuremberg property owner won an appeal from nine summary charges of causing a dangerous condition in a building at 933 Center St., Sheppton, East Union Township, which he owns and saved $1,489,50 fines assessed by a magisterial district justice.Lawrence C. Dull, 69, of 44 Chicksan Lane, appealed the fines and after a hearing Judge Charles M. Miller dismissed the nine charges on a technicality, ruling East Union Township had failed to include in their notice to Dull what was needed to be repaired to meet the township's ordinance. Dull was issued nine notices citing the building he owned was a dangerous dwelling from March 2 through March 11, 2009. He was adjudged guilty of all nine charges of District Judge Anthony Kilker on Oct. 20, 2009, from which he took appeals.James Edwad Evans, 37, Pottsville, withdrew his appeal from a summary count and was sentenced by Judge D. Michael Stine on a charge of drivng while his operating privileges were suspended to pay a fine of $500 and costs and placed in the Intermediate Punishment Program (IPP) for 60 days under house arrest with electronic monitoring and must continue with outpatient treatment.Guilty pleaKevin Matthew Mabry, 24, Pottsville, formerly of Buck Run Village, Foster Township, pleaded guilty to several criminal charges and was sentenced by Judge D. Michael Stine.On a charge of indecent assault was placed on probation 23 months, pay a fine of $1,000, pay $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Accout, a $50 monthly supervision fee and court costs. He received credit for serving 29 days in prison. On a charge of possesion of a controlled substance was given a 12 months concurrent probation sentence, pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education fund, $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account. On a charge of driving while his operating privileges were suspended was fined $200 plus $50 costs. On a charge of being disorderly at the Schuylkill Medical Center he was sentenced to serve 12 additional months on probation, pay a $100 fine, pay $50 to CJEA fund and court costs. Charges were filed by Pottsville police.Revoke paroleThe parole of Diane Bretzius, 30, of 503 Center Ave., Jim Thorpe, formerly of New Philadelphia, was revoked by Judge D. Michael Stine who ruled she violated conditions of her parole by failing to report weekly to her probation officer, failed to obtain permission to change her residence and failed to notify her probation officer of a new arrest. She was recommitted to the county prison to serve her original sentence and her 286 days of liberty were taken from her credit. She had pleaded guilty in February 2009 to violation of the public welfare code and was placed on parole.Valerie A. Underkoffler, 43, Tower City, had her parole revoked by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin and she was recommitted to the county prison and her 264 days of liberty taken away and added to her new maximum sentence which was extended to Jan. 19, 2011. Underkoffler pleaded guilty in February 2009 to a charge of making a false report to police and incriminating another person and was placed on parole.
