Two Monroe County residents, including a juvenile, are facing drug related charges according to Pocono Mountain Regional police.

On Wednesday, March 3, officers served a search warrant at 1119 Echo Lake Drive, Coolbaugh Township. Two persons were found at the residence and identified as Andrew Turner, 22, and a 16-year-old male.Found in the home and seized was evidence of illegal drug distribution and possession with intent to deliver marijuana. Also found was a stolen vehicle and firearms which were not to be possessed by a felon.Police said bulk quantities of marijuana, packaging materials for street level sales, a digital scale used to weigh marijuana, over $2,600 in U.S. currency in denominations consistent with the street level sales of narcotics, a .38-caliber revolver bearing serial numbers that were partially scraped off, along with .38-caliber ammunition for the firearm, cellular phones containing text messaging confirming the illegal drug trafficking, as well as statements taken from family members, were all found in the residence. Police said both defendants acknowledged their illegal drug dealing out of the home. The gun found was confirmed to be one reported stolen on July 6, 2009, during a burglary at A Pocono Country Place development in Tobyhanna.Also recovered was a 2005 Suzuki All Terrain Vehicle (ATV), which had been reported stolen by Shawnee Tabernacle, of Tobyhanna. Neither defendant had permission or the authority to possess the ATV and did admit to its theft.Turner, police said, has a prior criminal history. He was arrested on Sept. 21, 2004, for possession with intent to deliver; on July 23, 2006, charged with arson and risking a catastrophe along with related offenses; and on Feb. 18, 2007, arrested for possession with intent to deliver and related offenses. The offenses prevent him from possession of a firearm.Turner was charged with the following offenses: possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (CS), criminal conspiracy, persons not to possess firearms, possessing a stolen firearm, possessing a stolen vehicle, possession of instruments of crime, possession of a CS and possession of drug paraphernalia. He committed to the county prison in Snydersville in lieu of bail.The juvenile was charged with the same offenses and was placed in the custody of the county juvenile probation office pending further court action.
