Monroe man jailed for incident at bar

A Monroe County man was jailed following a gun incident at a bar.

Pocono Mountain Regional police were dispatched to Tab's Tavern, in Tobyhanna, about 1:25 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 14, to a report of an assault involving a rifle.Upon arrival officers learned that Christopher P. DeLeo, 35, of Albrightsville, who allegedly was intoxicated, pointed a 30-30 rifle at his friend, Theodore Harris, 40, of Blakeslee. After surrendering the gun to Harris, DeLeo left but returned later and assaulted his friend when Harris refused to give the rifle back to him.DeLeo was taken into custody outside his home without incident and arraigned before a district judge on various counts including assault and public drunkenness. He was committed to the county prison in Snydersville in lieu of bail, police said.
