A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident about 3:14 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 2.

Pocono Mountain Regional police were called to Knollwood Drive, in A Pocono Country Place by security personnel who had a Ford Escort in a ditch. Upon arrival the driver was still in the vehicle.The driver was identified as Ronald G. Carullo, 25, of Pittston.He had the odor of an alcoholic beverage and showed signs of intoxication. He failed field sobriety tests and was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.The DUI charge is pending the test results, police said.
