ACS Chinese Auction to be held in March

Preparation is under way for the annual Carbon-Tamaqua Unit of the American Cancer Society Telethon Committee Chinese Auction.

madula@ptd.net.The ACS Chinese Auction will be held on Sunday, March 7 at the Lakeside Ballroom, located on Route 54 in Barnesville. Doors open at noon and the auction begins at 3 p.m. Polka Joe will entertain from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., with entertainment by Cody Sassaman to follow.Some of the top prizes included on the specially purchased "white ticket" include a laptop computer with Windows 7 Home Premium, Nintendo Wii Game System, $250 gift certificate for fuel oil, Apple iPod touch 32 GB, muzzleloader, Makita cordless drill, hand-held GPS Navigator System, an Olympus FE-4000, 12 MP 4x zoom digital camera, Hoover vacuum cleaner, tickets for the Andre Rieu & Johann Strauss Orchestra Concert, lodging for 3 days/2 nights in Atlantic City, lodging for 5 days/4 night in Florida, many gift certificates and much more.
