Rush Township police report a one-vehicle accident occurred on Sunday, Jan. 10, at 3:18 p.m.

Police said Joseph S. Terry, 45, of Coaldale, was traveling west on Mahanoy Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle then traveled up onto a snow-covered yard and struck a tree getting wedged between the tree and a utility pole.Terry was transported via helicopter to a hospital.
