The Black Diamond Parrot Head Club, based in the Panther Valley, made donations of $500 each to five local fire companies. They are the three Jim Thorpe fire companies (Fairview, Diligent, and Phoenix), Mahoning Valley Fire Company, and Tuscarora Fire Company. The donations were presented during a meeting of the club at the Sports Zoo in Lansford.
