Stroudsburg booters turn back Lehighton

In other scholastic action, Stroudsburg beat Lehighton in a Mountain Valley Conference soccer game.
The Wreckers upped their record to 8-3 overall with a win over MMI in three games by scores of 25-9. 25-20. 25-11.
Sarah Dolinsky had five kills, one dink, 13 digs, one assist and two aces for the Wreckers. Rachel Heister added one kill, five digs, 23 assists and two aces. Brittany Hinkle had 10 kills, two dinks, 12 digs, two blocks and seven aces. Alyssa Kephart added seven kills, 15 digs, four assists and one ace. Alicia Panzarella had one kill, one dink, 11 digs, one assist and four aces and Samantha Strizak added nine digs and one ace.
The MMI JV's wound up on the winning side by scores of 15-7. 15-12. 9-15, 14-16, 15-9.
The Mountaineers scored three goals in the first half and never looked back in beating the Indians 5-1.
Donnie St.Clair scored a pair of goals for Stroudsburg. Stephen Poorman scored getting his own rebound off of a penalty kick and Guesseppe Rea and Bryan Semon added the others for the Mountaineers.
Anthony Rossino's goal with 6:59 left in the game on a penalty kick helped the Indians avoid a shutout.
Stroudsburg had 22 shots on goal to just five by Lehighton (3-8; 1-7). Shane Fordyce had 17 saves for the Indians, while Jason Berger had three for the Mounts (8-4; 6-2).
