A free car seat check up will be held on Wednesday, May 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Palmerton Community Ambulance, 501 Delaware Ave., Palmerton.

The event will be held rain or shine and is sponsored by Carbon County Safe Kids and the Palmerton Community Ambulance.During the check ups, parents can bring their child and the child's car seat to the ambulance garage, where a trained safety specialist will check the car seat to make sure it is installed properly, is the right size for the child; and does not have any safety recalls posted for that model or has any visible damages to it.
