Auto crash suit

William Whiteman, 125 Pine Drive, Lehighton, filed a civil complaint against Jennifer McFarland, 2029 Crow Trail, Long Pond, over a auto accident that occurred on May 27, 2009, along Green St., at Hemlock Trail, in Franklin Township. It is alleged that a vehicle operated by the defendant collided into one driven by the plaintiff causing injuries detailed in the suit. Negligence is alleged and sought are damages "requiring compulsory arbitration" plus interest, costs and fees.

Credit defaults

The following actions were filed by credit card companies, or their collection agencies, for alleged defaults on credit card/loan accounts.

Citibank South Dakota, 701 E. 60th St. N, Sioux Falls, S.D., filed against Constance M. McKee, HC3, Box 3535, Albrightsville, seeking $16,698.83.

Arrown Financial Services, c/o 5 Great Valley Parkway, Malvern, filed four actions as follows: Jeffrey Young, 238 N. First St., Lehighton, seeking $1,303.30; James P. Tee, 49 W. Summit St., Summit Hill, seeking $1,210.13; Kathleen Turner, 222 W. Abbott St., Lansford, seeking $1,864.43; and Andrew D. Williams, 140 Pattern Circle, Albrightsville, seeking $1,892.68.

Capital One Bank USA, 4851 Cox Rd., Glen Allen, Va., filed against Robert E. Hazzard, 2430 Little Gap Rd., Palmerton, seeking $5,005.61.

Lemon Law

Mark Horn, 832 Mahoning St., Lehighton, filed a civil complaint against Ford Motor Company, 300 Renaissance Center, Detroit, Mich., under the state's Lemon Law over a 2010 Ford Fusion he purchased on July 10, 2009, with a warranty of three years/36,000 miles.

The suit states the vehicle is rendered impaired, unable to be utilized for its intended purpose due to manufacture problems including transmission which the defendant allegedly failed to repair as due under the warranty.

Sought is a judgment against the defendant in an amount equal to the price of the vehicle plus all collatoral charges, fees and costs on each of three counts plus treble damages.

Divorce started

Jason Long, Box 1859, Albrightsville, filed against Tara Long, same address. They were married May 14, 2007.
