East Penn Technical Search and Rescue team slates program

Published June 29. 2010 05:00PM

The East Penn Technical Search and Rescue team will be holding an educational program at Locust Lake Campstore Field on Saturday, July 4 at 6:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend the program, which will inform attendees of the team's mission and daily operations.

The team is a fully insured, volunteer, nonprofit organization that is dedicated to working cooperatively with all emergency services and law enforcement agencies to locate lost persons and provide trained personnel for evacuation or rescue. They will teach the public how to survive in certain situations. Additionally, the team's search and rescue dogs will be on hand to demonstrate how lost individuals are located on land and in water.

The program is free, but all donations are greatly accepted. Shine only.
