Tamaqua English Honor Society inductees

The Tamaqua Area High School Chapter of the National English Honor Society has inducted new members. Requirements include: being a junior or senior and having a 92 percent average in regular or Honors English or a 90 percent in College English, Students must have a career GPA of at least 90 percent, must submit a letter of recommendation from one English teacher who taught the student and must submit a one page essay explaining what he/she can contribute to the local chapter. Inductees included, front row from left, Alexis Leshko, Hailey Arnold, Lauren Mateyak, Kayla Kerstetter, Melody Kelly, Alyssa Keich (Secretary) and Amber Schock. Second row, Samantha Guth, Casey Sassaman, Colleen Rorke, Jessica Leiby, and Erin Zeigler. Third row, Brianne Curvey, Natalie Davison, Kelsey Burkett, and Allison Updike. Schuyler Schmidt and Catie Stamets were also inductees.
