The Tamaqua Area Middle School Music Department will present its annual "Holiday Music Program" on Wednesday, Dec. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Tamaqua Area Auditorium.

The concert will feature performances by the middle school sixth grade band and the middle school chorus.

The sixth grade band, under the direction of Mark Beltz, will open the concert with "March of the Magical Toys" by Robert W. Smith. They will then play a holiday medley entitled "Name That Christmas Carol." The band closes the first half of the program with "Countdown to Christmas" and "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town."

The middle school chorus comprised of students from grades sixth, seventh, and eighth grades will present the second half of the evening's program.

The chorus begins with "Jubilate Deo" by Sally Albrecht. They continue with the traditional "Angels We Have Heard on High" followed by "Heavenly Peace." They close the program with two holiday classics "Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas." The middle school chorus is under the direction of John Buglio.

The concert is free and open to the public. Doors to the auditorium will open at 6:45 p.m.
