Two men who were charged with vandalizing two parked cars in the high rent district in Pottsville entered pleas of not guilty when arraigned Monday morning in the Schuylkill County Courthouse and both requested jury trials. Both were born in the Domincan Republic and are not American citizens

Carlos Cesar Taveraz-Taverez, 25, of 126 East Washington Street, McAdoo, was charged by Detective Glenn Dove, Pottsville Police, with six counts of theft, five counts each of credit card fraud and identity theft, three counts of criminal conspiracy, two counts of criminal mischief and one count each of receiving stolen property and forgery.Marcos Casodo Guerrero, 20, of 828 Locust Street, Hazleton, ws charged by Detective Dove with five counts each of credit card fraud and identity theft, four counts of theft of property and two counts each of theft from motor vehicles and crimnal mischief.Information filed to court states last September 1 the two men vandalized two parked vehicles at Birchwood Gardens condominium complex, 23rd Street, Pottsville, near the Pottsville Club, and used two credit cards taken from one of the vehicles and ran up a bill of more than $2,000 and cause extensive damage to the interior of the vehicles. Both men were born in Dominican Republican and not are not U. S. citizens and Guerrero was on probation from a Luzerne County Court at the time of his arrest by Pottsville Police.
