'Breakfast with Santa' at the Peak!

Santa Claus will be taking a short break from his busy schedule next weekend and popping in to Roadies Restaurant at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe to visit with all of the good little girls and boys on his list.

Santa will be bringing Mrs. Claus along, as well as several of his elves, for a very special "Breakfast with Santa" on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 9 a.m.-11 a.m.Proceeds from the breakfast, which is sponsored by Blue Ridge Communications, will benefit Dream Come True, Blue Ridge Chapter.The cost is $8 for children 12 and under. Children may choose from three different items: chocolate chip pancakes with maple syrup; cinnamon swirl French toast; or one egg and home fries. Each menu item will be served with a choice of bacon or sausage, juice and hot cocoa with whipped cream.Adults and children over 12 will be able to choose from the regular Roadies menu and menu prices will apply.Breakfast for the children will also include a picture with Santa in a decorative frame, a free gift, as well as the chance to win some great prizes. Entertainment will be provided by Conrad Flynn of Penn's Peak Radio.The children's admission price includes a free chance to win a special gift. For each additional 50 cents a child donates to Dream Come True during the event, he or she will receive one additional chance for the special gift."I'm just really excited," says coordinator Julianne Farina. "It's going to be a fun event for everyone and it goes to a good cause Dream Come True.
