Monroe break-in

State police at Lehighton are investigating a burglary that occurred at a Monroe County residence.

Troopers said a garage on the property at 12 Pine Tree Lane, Polk Township, was entered sometime between Oct. 25 and Oct. 20. Removed was about eight bottle of beer. The property is owned by Eugenia Wnorowski, 55, of Maplewood, N.J.Troopers are also probing criminal mischief incidents.Unknown persons spray-painted the home of Scott Thomas Karaman, 4589 Hell Hollow Rd., in Polk Township, sometime overnight of Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. A construction vehicle belonging to the township was also spray painted in the same area, troopers said.Richard Zilmer, 57, of 10 Rolling Hills Farm, Eldred Township, Monroe County, reported someone ignited a firecracker or similar device in the mailbox at his home on Oct. 31 about midnight to 1 a.m.Elaine Manzo, 53, of 1545B Kunkletown Rd., in Eldred Township, reported the same type of incident occuring to her maibox overnight of Oct. 30-31.
