The Rev. Dr. David Grant will officiate at the 10 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Trinity United Church of Christ. The service will include words for young Christians and the celebration of Totenfest. Nursery care is available during the service. Instead of the South Ward Playground, voting will now be held at the South Ward Fire Company on Van Gelder Street.Details of the change have been mailed to all registered voters in the district.BloodmobileAn American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be held in Tamaqua on Nov. 18, from 1 to 6 p.m., at the Tamaqua Salvation Army, 105 W. Broad St.Anyone 17 or older, who weighs at least 110 pounds and is in general good health is eligible to donate.Bethany ECThe Rev. Kevin Roberts will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church. Chaplain Kathleen Valentine provided the invocation.President Eleanor Schmerfeld conducted the business meeting and reports were presented by secretary Florina Martin and treasurer Shirley Becker. A and C Catering will be providing refreshments for the annual Christmas party, which is scheduled for Dec. 8 at the Ryan Township Fire Company.Readings were offered by Shirley Becker, Florina Martin and Jean Machamer.The group meets at 1 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month, at the fire company. Anyone 50 years old or older is welcome to join.
