The Schuylkill County Drug Task Force, under the direction of Schuylkill County District Attorney James Goodman, conducted a coordinated drug raid in the Tamaqua area this morning.

Drug Task Force members and local police officers began knocking on doors at 6 a.m.As of press time, multiple defendants were lodged in the Tamaqua Police Station, awaiting arraignment before District Judge Stephen Bayer, Tamaqua. Those arrested and arraigned by press time included the following Tamaqua residents: Angela Wagner, Brenda Zimmer, Kelly Delassio, Dustin Ducay, Lorrie Oakes, Ricky Nelson and Justin Neff.At least four juveniles and several more adults were expected to be arrested later today.Several arrests in Tamaqua in the past few weeks have removed large quantities of drugs from the streets. Today's efforts are expected to add to that total.Tamaqua police and Schuylkill County detectives were joined in the raid by members of law enforcement from throughout Schuylkill County.
