A Schuylkill County man is facing a drug charge after a constable, attempting to serve a mortgage foreclosure notice on his residence, observed a marijuana plant lying on the kitchen floor of the home.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident occurred on Thursday, Oct. 1, about 5:11 p.m at the residence of Ryan M. Townsend, 24, of 1415 Stag Drive, Lake Wynonah, Auburn, South Manheim Townshihp.Troopers said the constable notified them of what he saw and troopers responded to the residence. The marijuana plant was seized. Townsend will be charged with possession of marijuana, troopers said.
