Lehighton Council will be hosting its Annual Christmas Gathering at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10 at Country Inn & Suites, 1619 Interchange Road, Lehighton. The event is free to all members of the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce and their guests.

Lehighton Council will be furnishing food, treats and beverages. Those attending are asked to bring one of your favorite hors d'oeuvres or desserts to compliment the meal.This year, as in prior years, instead of exchanging gifts everyone coming is asked to bring one or more nonperishable food items that could be given to our local food pantry in Lehighton.Also, if any one is interested in donating some thing to be used as a "door prize" feel free to bring it with you on Dec. 10, but call the office in advance what you are bringing so that the chamber can plan accordingly.RSVP by Dec. 8, as they need to know how much food to have prepared and, if possible, let them know what food item you will be bringing.The social is open to any member of the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce and their guests.
