The Tamaqua Area Faith Fellowship Network will sponsor a Service of Healing and Hope in response to last week's difficult times, which included the loss of a Tamaqua woman in a reported homicide, the deaths of a husband and wife in an accident.The ecumenical healing service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, 223 E. D.A.R.E. Steering Committee is busy making plans for the annual

D.A.R.E. Challenge and graduation. The challenge will be held March 1 in the Tamaqua Elementary School gym. There will be two sessions, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.Volunteers will be needed for the event, as well as for set up and clean up.The gym will be set up from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, and at 8:30 a.m. that Saturday. Clean up will be done after the challenge, from 4 to 6 p.m.D.A.R.E. graduation is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on April 10 in the Tamaqua Middle School Auditorium.Donations to help defray the cost may be sent in care of Olga Williams, 209 Brown St., Tamaqua, PA 18252.Bethany ECThe Rev.
