Lansford woman helps students and their parents

A Lansford woman is helping parents in the Panther Valley School District afford the required school uniforms.

Ashlee Wildrick went door-to-door in Lansford passing out flyers to announce the uniform drive and to ask for clothing and monetary donations. Additionally, she also organized a bake sale to help raise more money.

In total, Wildrick raised $446, which she used to purchase brand new uniforms at Old Navy.

Today, Wildrick has plenty of clothing to hand out to anyone who wants them for their children in the Panther Valley School District area. She has the clothing laid out in the Lansford Townhouse's Community Room located at 100 Lansford Court, Lansford.

Wildrick plans to start this fundraising drive again in October for the next school year.

If anyone would like to help make this an even bigger success, contact Wildrick through her Facebook account (Ashlee Wildrick) or call her at 570-449-7860 or 570-805-4547.
