Palmerton Police Department is in search of a hit-and-run suspect who struck a teenager last week with his vehicle.

Borough police Chief Randy Smith said that at 2:43 p.m. Thursday, a 14-year-old male was crossing Delaware Avenue at Fifth Street, from the north side to the south side, when he was struck by a black car being driven by an older white male with a beard.The driver failed to stop, Smith said.He said the teen sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department at 610-826-4055.
