Dance social benefits Lehighton Boys and Girls Band Hall

Dance enthusiasts from all over northeastern Pennsylvania partied for a cause on Sunday at an event that included ballroom, swing, and Latin dancing.

Pocono Area Dance Association (PADA) hosted the "Fling into Spring" Dance Social as a fundraiser for Lehighton Boys and Girls Band. PADA is a charitable organization dedicated to using dance events to help promote and raise funds for local charities."We help raise awareness and money for charities through dance," said PADA member Ron Hlavaty. "With today's event, we are happy to be helping young musicians right here in Lehighton and the surrounding areas."Sunday's dance social benefited Lehighton Boys and Girls Band. Established in 1910, the band is a 501 (c) organization that provides quality, low-cost, private, and ensemble musical instruction for children ages 9 and older in the Lehighton and surrounding communities.Additional information about Lehighton Boys and Girls Band can be found at
