State police at Lehighton reported on the following arrests made for assault.

On Oct. 5 at 10:50 a.m. troopers responded to 105 Homestead Lane in Towamensing Township for a domestic dispute. As troopers arrived on scene Eric Christopher Cardone, 34, was seen fleeing into a wooded area behind the residence.He was located and arrested at which time he assaulted a trooper. Cardone continued to resist arrest and continued to act in a vulgar manner and used profane language at the troopers and a 29-year-old female of that address.A further investigation revealed Cardone had physically assaulted the female, his wife. He was arraigned before on-call District Judge Casimir T. Kosciolek of Lansford and was committed to the county prison in Nesquehoning, failing to post bail.On Sept. 25 at 11:27 a.m., troopers responded to the 200 block of Dogwood Lane in Polk Township. A verbal argument turned physical, troopers said, in which Jason Anthony Knight, 21, of that address, was cited for simple assault on a 27-year-old female of that address.
