Two Luzerne County men were jailed recently following a traffic stop in Carbon County by state police at Lehighton.

Troopers said on Feb. 10 about 9:53 p.m. they stopped Lizaandy Antonio Trejo, 22, of West Hazleton, operating a 1997 Honda Civic, for a equipment violation along SR248 near State Rd., in Franklin Township. He provided a false name and was also found to be under the influence of marijuana, troopers said. Trejo was also found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.A passenger, Christian Rodriguez, 20, of Hazleton, provided a false name and was found to have an active warrant for his arrest on drug charges. He was also found to have in his possession marijuana and drug paraphernalia.The two were placed under arrest, Trejo for DUI and drug offenses, and Rodriguez for drug offenses. The two were eventually placed in the county prison in Nesquehoning after being arraigned on the charges.
