A Jim Thorpe woman was jailed following a domestic incident.

Borough police responded to 52 W. Fourth St., about 10:51 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12, to a report of a domestic incident. On scene officers were told by Kyle Strohl that he had been assaulted by his wife, who he said was under the influence of alcohol. Officers noted Strohl had bruises to his face and arms.Police said Christiane M. Strohl, 33, was placed under arrest for simple assault and harassment. She was arraigned by duty District Judge Casimir Kosciolek, of Lansford, and committed to the county prison after failing to post $2,500 cash bail.
