Polk break-ins

State police at Lehighton are investigating two burglaries that occurred in Polk Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said the home of Ruby B. Solt, 626 Mountain View Drive, Gilbert, was entered through a downstairs bathroom window on the back south side of the home. A window was broken to gain entry.Once inside the criminals went to an upstairs master bedroom where they removed a Sony camera and miscellaneous jewelry. The break-in occurred sometime between 6:40 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7.The second entry occurred at the residence of Mark Edward Petaccio, 3328 Aspen Road. Entry was gained through a mud room window located on the back west side of the residence by breaking a window. Once inside the criminals went through every room in the home opening every draw and cabinet door. Nothing was reported missing.The incident occurred sometime between Sept. 5 and Friday, Oct. 7.
