Area man celebrates 92 years

Glen Laudenslager, a resident at Heritage Hill Senior Community in Weatherly, celebrated his 92nd birthday on Sunday.

Born May, 15, 1919 in Lewistown, Glen also lived in Cape May and Colonia, N.J., and Port Charlotte, Fla. He is a World War II veteran and served in the Army Air Force as a radar mechanic in the B24 Squadron in Italy.Glen married Rosetta Leona on Dec. 22, 1940. They were married for 50 years until her passing.After 41 years, Glen retired from the Burnham, Pa. Steel Mill where he worked in the test preparation center.He is the proud father of two daughters. Kemper Mahon of Elria, Ohio and Debra Masperi of Colonia, N.J. He is also the grandfather of four and great-grandfather of eight.Glen is a member of Heritage Hill's computer club which allows him to keep in touch with his family via email and webcam, and keep up on his interests, such as sports cars, gardening and fishing.
