A fast moving fire destroyed a dwelling Wednesday afternoon in Birch Hollow Estates in Polk Township, Monroe County. The fire was first reported just after 1 p.m. at 281 Squirrel Hollow Road. It reportedly started in an attached garage but by the time firefighters from Monroe and Carbon counties arrived the home was fully involved in flames. Due to the remote location water had to be tanked into the scene. The home was a total loss. No injuries were reported in the incident.
