State police at Fern Ridge reported on three crashes investigated by trooopers, all occurring in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.
A crash occurred about 11:05 a.m. on Aug. 25 along SR115 at the intersection with Mountain Laurel Drive. Troopers said Malgorzata J. Kotara, 44, of Effort, was driving a 2010 Dodge Nitro westbound on Mt. Laurel and failed to come to a complete stop at the intersection with 115 and pulled in front of a 1999 Chevrolet 2500 truck driven by Christopher J. Schroder, 46, of Brodheadsville, who was northbound on 115.
Kotara sustained a minor injury and was taken to the Pocono Medical Center (PMC), East Stroudsburg, by West End ambulance. Schroder and his passenger, Finbar J. Noel, 54, of Blakeslee, were not injured. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
Troopers cited Kotara for stop sign violation.
A crash occurred about 6 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27, along Sugar Hollow Road, near Harvest Hill Drive. Troopers said Travis Koehler, 27, of Effort, was driving a 1992 Hyundai Elantra eastbound when he lost control. The car traveled off the road and struck the guard rail and came to rest in a ditch.
Troopers said Koehler fled the scene but was later located.
A two vehicle crash occurred about 1:30 p.m. on Saturday along SR209 in front of the Dollar General Store. Troopers said Lucille Rhock, 62, of Effort, and Jamie Scism, 32, of Effort, were traveling southbound when the front of Rhock's 2002 Nissan Sentra hit the rear of Scism's 2005 Dodge 2500 truck.
No one was injured. The Sentra had to be towed from the scene.
