Long Pond teen faces charge

A Long Pond teenager faces an aggravated assault charge stemming from a November 2009 shooting incident.

Christopher S. Lentz, 17, allegedly shot a another teen in the back as he rode his motorized scooter on Glade Drive in the Emerald Lakes development.According to a news release from Pocono Mountain Regional Police, on Nov. 2, 2009, the 17-year-old victim was hospitalized and required surgery. Police conducted an extensive investigation that culminated in charging Lentz.A warrant was issued for Lentz on Thursday, and he was arrested without incident in Long Pond on Friday. Lentz was living out of his pickup truck at the time of his arrest. He was arraigned before District Judge Richard Claypool and jailed in the Monroe County Correctional facility under $75,000 bail.
