Fundraiser benefits community programs

Lehighton Area Pool Pals and Lehighton Rotary Club teamed up to host their second annual "Huge Indoor Yard Sale and Chinese Auction" on Saturday, April 2 at Lehighton Recreation Center. All proceeds from this event benefit community programs of the two organizations.

According to Lehighton Rotary Club President Dr. Barbara Belón, "This combined effort by the Pool Pals and Lehighton Rotary is an example of maximizing the strengths of two area organizations - both of which work for the betterment of our community." Lehighton Area Pool Pals Vice President Diane Hoffman concurred, "I truly feel that organizations in our area should begin to think about working together. There is strength in numbers!"Lehighton Area Pool Pals is a non-profit community organization that raised approximately $135,000 to renovate the Lehighton Swimming Pool at Baer Memorial Park.
