Carbon approves 3 subdivision plans

Three subdivision plans received the green light from members of the Carbon County Planning Commission on Tuesday afternoon.

During the monthly meeting of the county planning commission, Ivan O. Meixell Jr., the county planner, made recommendations on the following proposals:• The proposal by the Former Federal Mogul Site in Weatherly calls for a subdivision near the intersection of Plane and West Main streets in Weatherly. The plans include subdividing a 12.47-acre plot into four lots. This plan received conditional plan approval due to some minor problems in the proposal that need to be changed.• McAdoo Industrial Park Can Do, Inc. received plan approval for its plan, which calls for a subdivision at the intersection of Oak Street and Banks Avenue, McAdoo Industrial Park in Banks Township. The owner wants to subdivide 3.262 acres of land into two lots.• Brian and Constance Stroup, Boulder Oaks, Section 3 plan calls for subdividing 120.11 acres of land at the existing Boulder Oaks Development Sections 1 and 2, in Lower Towamensing Township, into 25 lots. The plan, as submitted, received conditional plan approval due to some minor revisions that need to be made to the plan to comply with Lower Towamensing Township's land development ordinances.
