Schuylkill break-ins investigated

State police at Frackville are investigating two burglaries at two Schuylkill County locations.

Paesanos Auto, located at 809 W. Center St., West Mahanoy Township, was entered by forcing open a plywood window located on the north side of the building. Once inside the criminals rummaged through several drawers in the office area and attempted to pry open a safe located next to the office. They took a laptop computer before fleeing.The incident occurred between 3 and 3:15 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 1. Troopers indicated two males were involved.The second entry occurred at SR1006 (Mt. Laffee Road), in New Castle Township. A garage was entered through an unlocked door. Once inside the criminals damaged the ignitions on two all terrain vehicles (ATV), and removed the ATVs from the garage. Unable to start the vehicles the criminals fled the scene. The incident occurred sometime between 7:30 and 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 31.The garage and ATVs are owned by Delbert Miller, 66, of New Ringgold, troopers said.
