Members of 8th and 9th grades of the Pleasant Valley Middle School will perform the musical "Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr." Right, Tom Mizer (Sam Cameli, eighth grade) is a school teacher nervous about his first day of teaching. He tries to relax by watching TV. Suddenly, the Schoolhouse Rock bunch appear in his rec room and proceed to show him how to win his students over with imagination and music, through beloved Schoolhouse Rock songs that cover a variety of subjects: math, science, history and grammar. Here Dori, (T'mera Burger, 9th grader) and gang sing "The Melting Pot." Performances will be on Friday, May 8 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 9 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Also, the PVMS Relay for Life team is having a spaghetti dinner Saturday night from 4-7 p.m. There will be a dress rehearsal for the senior citizens on Thursday, May 6 at 3:30 p.m. The play is under the direction of Mrs. Roxanne Scott and assistant director, Mrs. Rollene Gougher.
