The engagement of Kristin Noel Haupt, Lehighton, to James Paul Byerley, Hellertown, has been announced by her parents.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Craig and Kim Haupt of Lehighton. She is a 2007 graduate of Lehighton Area High School. She is employed as a medical office specialist in the office of Dr. John Fallabel, DMD, in Jim Thorpe.The prospective bridegroom is the son of David and Vicki Byerley of Hellertown. He is a 2004 graduate of Saucon Valley High School. He is employed by Lincoln Ernst Land Care in Reigelsville.The couple became engaged in November while enjoying a concert of the Trans Siberian Orchestra. They are planning a 2011 Christmas wedding.
