Safe Haven Rescue

Safe Haven Rescue will have a Dog Adoption Day on Sunday, June 20, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Wal-Mart Supercenter, 355 Lincoln Ave., East Stroudsburg. There will be several young lovable dogs available to meet and greet you. Come and find your new best friend.

Safe Haven requires a Pre-Adoption Application and a home visit prior to adopting an animal to make sure the dogs get the best home possible.

Also, Safe Haven volunteers will meet at Cherry's Restaurant, Rt. 209, Kresgeville on Tuesday, June 15 at 6:30 p.m. The public is welcome to attend and join.

Safe Haven Rescue is a small, all-volunteer group based in the West End that finds loving forever homes for abandoned dogs from kill shelters. Safe Haven can always use volunteers to help at Adoption Days and fundraisers and to transport dogs to vet and grooming appointments. If you have a few hours a month, they could use your help.

Foster homes are urgently needed to provide temporary homes for adoptable dogs.

If you would be interested in volunteering or fostering, please visit the website for more information and applications.
