Free class to make your own Valentine

Geraldine Schafer will offer a free make your own Valentine class at the Slatington Public Library on Saturday, Feb. 6 from 10 a.m. to noon.

The class if offered to children ages 6-14.

Please contact the library to sign up for the class, first come first serve.

Wonderful World of Wildlife

The Wonderful World of Wildlife reading program will be held on Saturday, Feb. 20 at the Slatington Public Library.

The program runs from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and is open to children age 3 to Grade 5. All are welcome.

Preschool Reading Program

The Slatington Public Library preschool reading program is held on Tuesdays at 11 a.m.

It will be held on Feb. 9, 16, and 23.

Slatington Library Miscellaneous

The library accepts gift donations, with the exception of encyclopedias, text books, and Reader's Digest.

Christmas tree fundraiser

The Slatington Lions Club held its annual Christmas tree fundraiser over a three-week period between November and December.

In all, 740 trees were sold, and another eight were donated to different areas within the community.

The Lions Club would like to thank the public for coming out and supporting the fundraiser, and is looking forward to next year's event as well.
